New Delhi, Online Desk. Zimbabwe all-rounder Solomon Maier wreaked havoc on the bowlers of Bhilwara Kings in Ikana. He created a ruckus in Bhilwara’s camp playing a swashbuckling innings of 82 runs in 38 balls. After their defeat to Gujarat Giants in Kolkata, India Capitals under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir beat Bhilwara Kings by 78 runs on Wednesday. Batting first, India Capitals scored 198 for 5 in 20 overs, but in reply, Bhilwara Kings, captained by Irfan Pathan, were all out for 120 runs in 19.2 overs and lost by 78 runs.

This was India Capitals’ first win in two matches while Bhilwara Kings got their first defeat in as many matches. For India Capitals, the century partnership of Solomon Mir and Hamilton Masakadza (48) took them to a strong score of 198 runs for five wickets. Solomon and Hamilton shared a 125-run stand for the second wicket at a time when India Capitals had lost captain Gautam Gambhir for just 24 runs. Captain Gautam Gambhir scored 12 runs in this match. While Dinesh Ramdin scored 20 runs while Ashley Nurse scored just 10 runs.

Yusuf Pathan, who batted brilliantly in the previous match against Manipal, bowled well against India Capitals. He took three wickets for 28 runs in his quota of four overs. Tino Best took one wicket after spending 19 runs in two overs. Bhilwara Kings trapped in variation Captain Gambhir used his captaincy sense in the field and using eight bowlers trapped Bhilwara Kings in variation. The team led by Irfan Pathan kept losing wickets at frequent intervals and were eventually bundled out for 120 runs in 19.2 overs. For Bhilwara Kings, Yusuf Pathan scored 14 runs, Naman Ojha scored 20 runs, Tanmay Srivastava scored 27 runs while captain Irfan Pathan scored 17 runs.
