In Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reached Thakur Ram Singh Research Institute in Neri on Tuesday. During this, he held a meeting with Chetram, head of the research institute and members of the board of directors. The construction of the institute and other things were discussed in the meeting. Dharmendra Pradhan also inspected the institute. He said the center is developing as a study of civilizations. After this Dharmendra Pradhan visited NIT.

Dharmendra Pradhan has said that special emphasis is being laid on the inclusion of technology in the education system. The Central Government has made a special provision of one thousand crore rupees to make modern education accessible to the poorest of the poor children through e-learning. Under this, the number of educational channels is being increased from 34 to 60 in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It is proposed to start 200 new TVs and e-channels. During this, he inaugurated a modern computer center built at a cost of about Rs 47 crore 11 lakh and e-class room built at a cost of Rs 16 crore 62 lakh in the campus.

In this era of technology, job profiles and employment opportunities are changing very rapidly. While many jobs are being lost, many new employment opportunities are also being created. Dharmendra Pradhan said that NIT Hamirpur has achieved many commendable milestones in its journey of 36 years. Its ranking at the national level is very good. Apart from resolving all the stalled issues of the institute on priority basis, steps will also be taken soon to provide adequate quantity of drinking water to the institute.
