Union Minister addressed the Mirpur Sacrifice Day program

Speaking at an event to mark Mirpur Martyrdom Day in Delhi on Sunday, Jitendra said that earlier it was said that the Modi government could never remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Achieved this goal and now we will take back slave Kashmir. Mirpur Sacrifice Day is celebrated on 25 November. On November 25, 1947, Pakistan captured Mirpur-Kotli in Jammu and Kashmir and killed thousands of people. Then thousands of people had migrated to Jammu and Kashmir. Tributes are paid every year on this sacrifice day to those killed.

He described the partition of India as the biggest tragedy in history and the second tragedy to lose a part of Jammu and Kashmir due to illegal occupation of Pakistan. The Union Minister further said that it is more a responsibility towards human rights than politics and national issue because our brothers in POJK are living in inhuman conditions where even basic facilities like health and education are not available.

After Patel’s firm intervention, the soldiers of the Sikh regiment were sent to Srinagar.

History reminds that the then Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had taken over the responsibility of merger of more than 560 princely states at the time of independence but he was kept out of the Jammu and Kashmir case because Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru wanted to handle Jammu and Kashmir at his level. . He said that when Pakistan attacked Jammu and Kashmir at the beginning of winter in 1947, Nehru was hesitant to send Indian troops there. But after Patel’s firm intervention, the soldiers of the Sikh Regiment were sent to Srinagar.

It is noteworthy that Jitendra Singh is a Lok Sabha member from Udhampur seat of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that when the Indian army was about to free the entire Jammu and Kashmir from the clutches of Pakistan, then Nehru stopped the ceasefire from his side without taking anyone’s opinion. He said that if Patel had been given a free hand to settle the matter, there would have been no part of Jammu and Kashmir in Pakistan’s possession.

Camp held for Domicile Certificate

During the program on the Mirpur sacrifice day, a camp was also organized to give domicile certificates to the families of slaves who had migrated from Kashmir settled in Delhi. Union Minister Jitendra appealed that everyone should make their domicile certificate. This will make it possible to solve many types of problems of these families.
