New Delhi, PTI. After the announcement of repeal of three agricultural laws, now Samyukt Kisan Morcha, SKM, the main organization of farmer unions, has written an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. SKM has placed six demands before the Prime Minister. The farmers organization has said in the letter that the government should immediately start talks with the farmers. Till the government does not do this, their agitation will continue.

The United Kisan Morcha has said in the letter that Prime Minister, we are extremely disappointed in your address not to have a concrete announcement on our important demands. The SKM has appealed to the Prime Minister that the farmers against whom cases were registered during the agitation against the agricultural laws should be immediately withdrawn. Rehabilitation assistance and financial compensation should be provided to their families by the government.

Kisan United Front has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for announcing the repeal of all three agricultural laws. The SKM in the letter has also demanded the government to construct a memorial for those who lost their lives during the agitations against the agricultural laws.

Meanwhile, official sources have said that the Union Cabinet is likely to approve bills to withdraw three agricultural laws on Wednesday. After the approval of the cabinet, these bills will be introduced in the upcoming session of Parliament. The winter session of Parliament is starting from November 29. It should be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the withdrawal of all three agricultural laws on the occasion of Guru Parv on Friday. At the same time, the farmers say that they will stand at the protest sites till the law is repealed by the Parliament.
