A special court in Bhadohi district on Friday convicted her father-in-law and her husband (father-son) for repeatedly raping a woman at home and sentenced them to 14 years and 10 years rigorous imprisonment respectively. He was also fined. District Assistant Government Advocate Pankaj Tiwari said that in the court of Fast Track Court (First) Subodh Singh, the medical evidence presented by both the parties and statements of other witnesses were debated.

Tiwari said that in this case, the court sentenced Amarnath (60), a resident of Chandapur of Gyanpur police station area of ​​the district, to 14 years and his son Chandraraj (35) to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and ordered both to be sent to jail.

While ordering Amarnath to pay a fine of Rs 22,000 and Chandra Raj Rs 12,000, the court said that fifty percent of the fine should be given as compensation to the victim.

Giving details of the incident, Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar said that the 30-year-old wife of Chandra Raj, a resident of Chandapur village, had lodged a complaint against her husband and father-in-law for assault and repeated rape.

He told that both the accused were arrested by the police who were out after getting bail from the court.
