UP Polls 2022: BJP President JP Nadda on Monday chaired a meeting in Delhi to discuss the party’s strategy ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. According to sources, the issue of Lakhimpur violence was also raised during the meeting. The saffron party has reportedly deliberated on its agenda for the next 100 days and the need to convey the benefits of welfare schemes to the voters.
Sources told ANI that the BJP has decided to increase the reach of its farmers, hold several public meetings and increase its presence at the booth level. During that time, BJP’s national general secretary BL Santosh, party’s state president Swatantra Dev Singh and party’s state election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan were also present in the meeting.
BJP ready to form government again in UP
The BJP had won 312 of the 403-member seats in the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, while the BSP could win only 19. On the other hand, the SP-Congress alliance also failed miserably and could win only 54 constituencies. The BJP did not reveal the CM’s face at that time, so the selection of Gorakhpur MP Yogi Adityanath for the post was a shock to everyone.

The BJP does not want to leave any stone unturned for the 2022 assembly elections as well. The party has appointed Dharmendra Pradhan as its election in-charge and Anurag Thakur, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Shobha Karandlaje, Annapurna Devi, Saroj Pandey and Vivek Thakur as co-incharges. Meanwhile, Sanjay Bhatia, Sanjeev Chaurasia, Y Satya Kumar, Sudhir Gupta, Arvind Menon and Sunil Ojha are the organizational in-charges of Western UP, Braj, Awadh, Kanpur, Gorakhpur and Kashi. Significantly, on September 24, the BJP had formally announced an alliance with the Nishad Party and Apna Dal (S).
