Ahead of the assembly elections starting in February, the political boil is increasing in Uttar Pradesh. The list of candidates is being released by the parties from different constituencies. Meanwhile, a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader from Charthwal town in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh has made serious allegations against the party for not getting tickets. He has accused the BSP of taking a bribe of Rs 67 lakh in exchange for giving tickets. A video of the leader related to the matter is also going viral on social media. In which he has said that despite taking money, the party has not given him a ticket.

BSP leader Arshad Rana was seen in the viral video crying loudly and alleging deception against the BSP. He spoke to Republic Media Network on this whole matter and claimed that the BSP cheated him of Rs 67 lakh and gave the ticket to someone else.

Arshad Rana said that he was declared the party’s candidate from the area in 2018 and the leaders of the area had promised that he would represent the party from Charthawal constituency in the 2022 assembly elections. However, just before the election, BSP leader Shamsuddin Ryan stopped answering him and later, he gave ticket to another candidate. He said that he has worked for the party in the area for the last four years to contest elections from the area as MLA and the party has now betrayed him. “I never thought they would do this to me,” Rana said.

Rana said that when he took up the matter with the party high command, he too refused to be identified. Rana further said that he has been working in the party for more than 24 years and has held several positions in the party.
