State Bureau, Dehradun. Uttarakhand Election 2022 The meeting of the party’s state core group has started at the Uttarakhand BJP headquarters. In the meeting, the panel of candidates is being discussed for the selection of candidates in view of the assembly elections. In this, Union Minister and state election in-charge Pralhad Joshi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, State President Madan Kaushik, former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Trivendra Singh Rawat, Tirath Singh Rawat and Vijay Bahuguna, BJP state in-charge Dushyant Gautam, co-in-charge Rekha Verma, state General Secretary Organization invincible, State General Secretary Rajendra Bhandari and Suresh Bhatt, Cabinet Ministers Satpal Maharaj and Dhan Singh Rawat, Rajya Sabha member Naresh Bansal etc. are present.

Harak Singh Rawat absent from core group meeting

Cabinet Minister Harak Singh Rawat is absent in the BJP State Core Group meeting. Due to this, discussions have started again in the political corridors about Harak Singh. It is also being linked to Harak’s displeasure. When contacted, Harak said that he got the information about the core group meeting late. Because of this he could not attend the meeting.

BJP has started churning for the selection of candidates for all the 70 assembly seats of Uttarakhand. There are 27 seats in the assembly, in which the tickets of the candidates are almost fixed and their names are yet to be formally announced by the party’s Central Parliamentary Board. On Sunday, the list of the panel of all the contenders will be submitted by the party to the Central Parliamentary Board in Delhi. It is believed that BJP will release the list of candidates in two phases. The first list can be released before the start of the enrollment process i.e. 21st January and the second list till 25th January.

In order to prepare a panel for the selection of candidates, the state BJP had recently sent the party’s provincial office bearers to all the assembly constituencies. It is being told that more than 160 names have appeared for all the seats. There are also some seats which have the same name in the panel. The names included in the panel will be considered in the meeting of the core group of the state BJP to be held at the provincial headquarters on Saturday.
