Bageshwar:

Decomposed bodies of a married woman and her three children have been recovered from a house in Joshigaon near the district headquarters in Bageshwar, Uttarakhand. There is also a 5-6 month old child among the dead. This incident spread sensation in the entire area. Here, on the basis of the doors of the house being locked from inside, the police is prima facie considering the matter as suicide. The father of the children is said to be absconding.

According to the information, at around 7 pm on Thursday, the police received information about foul smell coming from a house in Joshigaon, four and a half km away from the district headquarters, and the doors being locked from inside. SP Himanshu Kumar Verma, SDM Har Giri, CO Ankit Kandari, Kotwal Kailash Singh Negi reached the spot with the team. Both the doors of the house were locked from inside. The police reached inside the house by breaking the doors. The bodies of a woman, a girl and two boys were lying in the room. Foul smell was coming from the dead bodies.

The Deputy Collector told that information was received from the local people that there was a lot of bad smell near a house and there was a possibility of some incident happening in the house. The door of the room was broken and the dead body was recovered. Correct information will be available only after the post-mortem of the dead bodies.
