For the first time in any vaccination campaign in the state, more than 2 lakh syringes will come through flight on Wednesday. In about 100 boxes, 0.5 mm disposable syringes containing the Kovid vaccine will come. Actually, most of the districts do not have sufficient number of syringes to administer corona vaccines. The number of vaccination centers in many districts is also increasing due to this. Syringes are being called through flight so that the speed of vaccination does not decrease.
Syringes will be supplied to the districts as per the requirement in a day or two. On Wednesday, 3 lakh doses of Covishield will also come. The Health Department has set a target of 100 percent single dose in this month. To achieve this goal, more than 50 lakh vaccines are to be administered in the next 15 days. On an average, more than 1 lakh vaccines are being administered every day in 28 districts. Sometimes more than 2 lakh vaccines are also being administered by mixing single and double doses.
Recently, the target of installing 2 crore vaccines in the state has been completed. More than 35 lakh vaccines have been received in the state last month. This month also more than 15 lakh vaccines have come in ten days. In such a situation, there is no shortage of vaccines in the districts, but there is no syringe to apply them. Due to this, the target of first and second dose is lagging behind in many districts. In Raipur, there was a shortage in the stock of syringes last month, after which vaccines had to be called for syringes from other districts.
