A 16-year-old Vansh of Rishinagar locality was injured when a school bus collided in Mukerian on Monday evening. He died on Monday night at the Guardian Hospital at Milkbar Chowk in Jalandhar. The family had accused the doctor of being intoxicated and negligence in treatment. In this case it has been confirmed that Dr. Jatinder Kumar had started his treatment, he was intoxicated at that time. According to SHO Surjit Singh Gill of Police Station-6, after medical examination, it has been found that Dr. Jatinder had consumed alcohol.

After that Dr. A case of section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC has been registered against Jatinder Kumar resident of village Bajuha Khurd (Nakodar) and he has been taken into custody. The police have taken into custody the file for treatment of Vansh on his admission to the Guardian Hospital, to find out what was the primary treatment given to him. On the other hand, Vansh’s dead body was sent to Mukerian civil hospital for post-mortem. It will be known only after the post-mortem report whether he died of injuries to his ribs and head or due to wrong treatment at Guardian Hospital. After that further action will be taken. On the other hand, the bus of Dashmesh Public School in Mukerian was taken over by the police, with which Vansh had an accident. His last rites were performed late in the evening.
