Varanasi:

Gyanvapi mosque: An application for re-survey of Gyanvapi mosque has been filed in Varanasi court. The Benaras court will hear on this on Wednesday. In fact, on Tuesday, a turning point in the Gyanvapi Masjid case hearing took place when the court took cognizance of the allegations against the special commissioner for making statements in the media and keeping a private cameraman and decided to remove them. Along with this, the Benaras court will also hear on Wednesday separate petitions of Hindu and Muslim parties regarding the measurement of Shivling and facilities for Vazukhana. The petition was filed in the court on behalf of the Muslim side of the Arrangiya Committee and gave its point of view regarding the order of the court to seal the area around the Vazukhana. He had demanded toilets, water pipes, and fishes to be taken out of that small pond for the visitors of the mosque. At the same time, the Hindu side had given a petition to measure the height and length of Shivling.

But the court heard later. Objection has been sought from the Muslim side on the issue of measurement of Shivling. Whereas objections have been sought from the Hindu side regarding toilets and water pipes etc. It is being said that the court found that Ajay Mishra had hired a private videographer for the survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid and he was constantly speaking in the media on the issues related to the case. For this reason it was decided to relieve him.

Earlier, during the hearing in Varanasi Court, Commissioner Vishal Singh said on record that the attitude of Chief Commissioner Ajay Mishra was not good during the survey. A private videographer was hired by him and news was being leaked continuously in the media. After this, the court decided to remove Ajay Mishra. Also gave two days time to file the survey report.

It is noteworthy that in the survey of Gyanvapi Masjid, the Hindu side has claimed to have found a Shivling at the place of Vajukhana. He had demanded from the court to seal this place and provide security, after which the court ordered to seal that place. However, the Muslim side says that the work of misleading is being done continuously in this matter. He said that the Shivling which is being told is just a fountain.
