Team India made a 3-0 clean sweep of the series by defeating New Zealand by 90 runs in the third ODI at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Tuesday, 24 January. While Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and Shardul Thakur emerged as the top performers in the game, former skipper Virat Kohli grabbed headlines on social media due to his dance moves. A video of Kohli is becoming fiercely viral on social media.
Actually something happened that after dismissing Kiwi batsman Daryl Mitchell, Shardul Thakur asked captain Rohit Sharma to demand DRS. After the successful DRS decision, Virat Kohli was seen doing some dance moves on the field. In the second innings, on the first ball of the 26th over, Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur bowled a short ball in the middle. Mitchell tried to play a pull shot on that ball. However, the Kiwi batsman got out the wrong way and it looked like the ball took something off his bat before falling into the gloves of wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan. While the on-field umpire denied the wicket, the Men in Blue went up with the DRS call.
New Zealand lost their third wicket as soon as the DRS decision came in favor of India. Kohli was seen dancing with his hands up in the air after seeing the third umpire’s decision on the big screen. On the other hand, Kiwi players were surprised to see this decision on the big screen.
Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma scored centuries for India.
India had to bat first after losing the toss. But India started this innings brilliantly. Captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill added 212 runs for the first wicket. Both the players scored centuries.
