Villagers created a ruckus in the mini secretariat on Thursday due to non-arrest of the accused in the case of murder of old Bhim Singh in village Sismaur of Kaithal, Haryana. The villagers, including a large number of women, alleged in front of the camera that the police was saving the killers by consuming money. Five persons are involved in the murder, but the police is clearly saying that only one will be arrested. Seeing the anger of the villagers, DSP Sajjan Singh was on the spot along with the police force. Villagers were prevented from entering the mini secretariat by putting up barricades.

The murder of the old man happened on June 18
Let us inform that on June 18, Bhim Singh of village Sismaur had gone to his field for paddy transplanting work. It is alleged that there had been an altercation with Sandeep, Mandeep, Sunil, Pradeep and Jaipal of the village itself over the bund of the farm. Bhim Singh’s son Gobind told that the accused wanted to merge his farm with Medh and his father was opposing it. Due to this, the accused killed his father Bhim Singh by hitting him with Kassi and Gandasi. On Gobind’s statement, the Titram police had registered a case of murder against 5 on the complaint of Gobind. So far the police has arrested one person in this case.

Villagers of village Sismaur, women and hundreds of people associated with Khap Panchayat reached the mini secretariat on Thursday to meet the SP in this matter. The villagers raised slogans against the police. The villagers told that the police is not arresting the killers. In front of the cameras of the media, the women openly alleged that the police were saving the accused by taking money from them. The SHO has clearly told them that wherever you go, no one will be arrested except one man. The villagers were very angry about this behavior of the police.

DSP explained
When the villagers tried to go to the mini secretariat raising slogans, the police stopped them by putting up barricades. DSP Sajjan Singh, who was present on the spot, spoke to the villagers and assured that a fair investigation is being done in the matter. Those responsible will not be spared and the innocent will not be harassed. The villagers warned the police that if the accused were not arrested soon, they would start an agitation.
