Air Force Chief V.R. Chaudhary said on Thursday that in the current geopolitical situation, the Indian Air Force has to be prepared for rapid and short duration operations in a short time. Air Chief Marshal Chowdhary told a conference that the force would need to be prepared to deal with short-duration wars and prolonged standoffs like eastern Ladakh.
He said that the recent experience of the Indian Air Force and the geopolitical scenario emphasize the need for us to be operationally and logistically prepared at all times. He said, “The current geopolitical situation requires the Indian Air Force to be prepared for rapid and short duration operations in a short period of time. New modes of high intensity operations in the shortest possible time will require major changes in operational logistics.

Air Chief Marshal Chowdhary said that logistics has been recognized as an important medium for the country’s economic progress. “It has been recognized as an important component in improving ease of doing business and making Indian supply chains globally competitive,” he said.
