New Delhi, ANI. The havoc of heavy rains is not taking its name to stop in the southern states. Due to heavy rains, the lakes in Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru are in spate and water has entered many houses. At the same time, in many parts of Tamil Nadu, there has been a lot of damage due to the floods caused by rains. According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued in Tamil Nadu. Heavy rain has been forecast here for the next few days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued Yellow Alert for Tamil Nadu for November 23 and 24 and Orange Alert for November 25- 26.

The IMD said, ‘A cyclonic circulation lies over Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards towards Tamil Nadu coast during next 4-5 days. The weather forecast agency further said that a trough is extending from cyclonic circulation to Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu coast.

IMD has warned of light rain over Karnataka, Kerala-Mahe Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the next 5 days. IMD said that during the next 5 days, there is a possibility of rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. There is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places over Kerala and Mahe on November 25 and 26. Heavy rain is also likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on November 25.
