TV News: Sayantani Ghosh has accused Radhika Madan of ‘looking down on the TV industry’. The Ali Baba fame actress claimed that she was ‘hurt’ by the comments of the Shiddat fame actress. In an interview to Siddharth Kannan, Sayantani said- ‘When people start from TV and achieve a certain position then why do they start speaking like this about television?’
He said that “TV provides employment to many people and even the biggest stars of TV choose this medium to promote their films. I have a problem with approach. you want to do a movie You start with TV, become a star, earn enough money which gives you the power to start your film journey and you can wait for the right time.”
Why did Sayantani Ghosh lash out at Radhika Madan?
Ghosh lauded her friend Mouni Roy for talking about TV with so much ‘grace’ and ‘gratitude’. Sayantani said, “She (Radhika) and many others look down upon TV. I think you should not do this. My problem is that TV should not be taken as a ladder.”
Let us tell you that it all started when Radhika talked about working in the TV industry in a recent interview. He said that directors used to change things and whoever was available would come to shoot. She also said that whenever she used to say something about her character, the director would silence her.
Ghosh had earlier shared a clip of Radhika’s interview which he has now removed. Ghosh said- “It is very sad to see the world of TV going down like this. This actress made a stellar TV debut, the interviewer was laughing. What a shame! We should not forget that TV reaches millions of homes. Gives employment to many. Most of the films are promoted in TV shows. Everything has challenges and strengths. If you don’t want to do TV then it’s your choice. But please don’t underestimate the fraternity which deserves respect #proudTVMember.”
Career of Radhika Madan
Radhika Madan made her debut with the TV show ‘Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi’ and became a household name. Later he made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Pataakha’ directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. After that she appeared in films like ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’, ‘Angrezi Medium’ and ‘Shiddat’. His last film was ‘Kutte’ starring Tabu and Arjun Kapoor.
