The Small Scale Manufacturers Association held a meeting under the leadership of President Jaswinder Singh Thukral. During this it was decided that on June 24, the effigy of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann would be burnt. During this, Jaswinder Singh Thukral said that Powercom has asked for 45 days advance bill from the industry. Advance amount of crores of rupees has been sent by putting it in the bills. At the same time, a decree was also issued that if the deposit is not made within 15 days, then the connection will be disconnected. Thukral, president of the association, said that there is an atmosphere of panic in the industry due to this decision. The industry is feeling itself in a quandary.

He said that the people of Punjab have won by voting for the Aam Aadmi Party in the pursuit of change, but the newly formed government is taking anti-industry decisions. This is not going to be tolerated. Thukral warned the government and Powercom that if the decision was not withdrawn within two days, he would burn the effigy of the Chief Minister by holding a sit-in in Janata Nagar division on June 24. Till this decision is not returned, the struggle will continue. Surinder Singh, Savinder Singh Hunjan, Inderjit Singh, Vilayati Ramdurga, Amrik Singh, Rajinder Singh Kalsi, Harjit Singh Panesar, Pawan Kumar, Ravinder Singh Panesar, Harbhajan Singh, Sukhpreet Singh, Sumesh Kochhar, Avtar Singh, Balwinder Singh, Iqbal Singh, Avtar Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Ajmer Singh, Swaran Singh were present.
