Union Budget 2023 (Budget 2023) Coming soon. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Budget 2023-24 in Parliament on 1 February. People of different sectors have their own expectations. In such a situation, there is news quoting sources that the government’s emphasis on farmers and rural areas is going to be seen in this budget. Despite this, the complaint of the farmers of the country has remained the same for decades. Some farmers were talked to before the budget so that their expectations and hopes could be understood.

Husn Singh, a farmer of Godana village of Modinagar, says that the payment for the sugarcane crop is not being received on time, due to increase in inflation, the expenditure has increased a lot. Husn Singh said, “The fodder which used to be available at Rs 6 per kg last year is now available at Rs 18 per kg. It is becoming difficult to do animal husbandry. The arrears of the sugarcane crop have not been received since April last year. I have to take a loan from a moneylender. The moneylender takes money at the rate of Rs 5 on Rs 100 every month. I am not even getting the benefit of PM Kisan Yojana.”

Farmer Arun has about 5 bigas of land. They say that the MSP rate is not available in the mandis. Traders force them to sell crops at low prices. Farmer Harinder Nehra says that we want the Finance Minister to pay the farmers for their crops properly on time. We should get the price of our crop only at the government rate. If we get this, then we do not need any kind of grant from the government. Farmers are self-respecting. The government should understand the pain of the farmers.
