After two years, the grandeur of Kurukshetra’s identity International Gita Mahotsav is going to return in December this year. Due to Kovid, the Gita Mahotsav, which has become the identity of Kurukshetra, could not be held last year.
Due to the arrival of the second wave, this year also there was a crisis on it, but after the end of the second wave, now where life is back on track. All economic and social activities have started. In such a situation, the government-administration has taken the decision to celebrate Geeta Jayanti with full grandeur. Preparations have started for celebrating the festival in December. Many big events under the festival are yet to be decided, but it is certain that the festival will be celebrated with grandeur.
18 days celebration on Brahmasarovar: Gita Jayanti will be celebrated with reverence and grandeur at Brahmasarovar in Kurukshetra. Various programs will be held from 2 to 19 December as before. Online quiz competition, chanting of verses and birth anniversary will be celebrated on the pilgrimages of 48 Kos. An exhibition will also be held on the pilgrimages of 48 Kos.
Two and a half months left, preparations left: There are now about two and a half months left in the International Festival. Regarding this, Nodal Officer Vijay Dahiya held a meeting with the Mini Secretariat Administration and KDB officials on Monday. Atul Dwivedi, Secretary to the Governor and KDB Member Secretary also attended. The programs will be held according to the new guidelines of the state government.
Orders were given to start the tender process, constitute committees for different events. There will be a separate nodal officer for all the committees. After this, both the officers met DC Mukul Kumar, Vice President of Haryana Granth Academy, Prof. Virendra Chauhan, ADC Akhil Pilani, KDB Honorary Secretary Madan Mohan Chhabra, KDB CEO Anubhav Mehta, Under Training IAS Jaya Sharda visited Brahmasarovar Purushottampura Bagh.
Government gave green signal
Decision on grand pandal, laser show will be taken later
A decision on programs like grand pandals, laser shows for cultural programs will be taken later. Some new programs will also be included in the festival along with the programs of the previous years. There will be programs like online quiz, recitation of shlokas at district and state level, exhibition of social and religious institutions, cultural programs, saint conference, Shobha Yatra. According to the KDB secretary, all the events of the festival will be finalized in the coming days.
The festival will run from December 2 to 17
This time Geeta Jayanti is on 14th December. The main events in the festival will take place from 9 to 14 December, but the festival will run from 2 to 17 December. Jio Gita, Sikh Samaj, Sant Ravidas, Ahilya Bai, Arya Samaj, Patanjali Yog Peeth, ISKCON, Chinmaya Mission, Art of Living, Rama-Krishna Mission, Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya and other institutions will be included.
Kovid protocol will be applicable
COVID-19 protocol will be adopted. Right now, the decision regarding the implementation of vaccination and Kovid negative report for the audience will be according to the circumstances of that time. KDB Honorary Secretary and CEO Anubhav Mehta outlined the programs of the festival.
Jayanti will be celebrated in 48 kos
Apart from Kurukshetra, programs will also be held on 48 Kos pilgrimages. An exhibition on these pilgrimages will also be put up at Brahmasarovar. There will also be a conference in a special session to invite people of 48 Kos to the festival.
Vishwa Guru Bharat will be the theme: The nature of all the programs of Gita Mahotsav will be according to the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence on the completion of 75 years of independence. In the festival, all the programs will be connected with Vishwa Guru India. KDB, Tourism Department, NZCC, Administration etc. will be the main organizers.
