Arriving among the wrestlers, Babita Phogat said, “Smoke rises where there is fire. I assure that there will be a fair investigation. Whatever the wrestlers say, I will put them before the government. The words and demands of the wrestlers are illegitimate.” No, so I can say on their trust and on myself that I will be able to get it done. I have come here today but our government had taken action only yesterday. The government has given 72 hours to the Sangh which is very less. Whatever everyone says, I will try to present it in front of them.”
While talking to the media, he said that these things never came in front of me, but I used to hear that this has happened. If it has come to the fore today, action will be taken on it. The legitimate demands of the wrestlers will be placed before the government. We are against whatever is wrong.
Let me tell you, on Wednesday, January 18, Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat, Sangeeta Phogat, Bajrang Punia, Sonam Malik and many wrestlers started protesting against the wrestling association at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Wrestlers allege that women wrestlers were sexually assaulted and apart from this the wrestlers were also harassed.
Wrestlers’ Wrestling Association Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has directly denied all these allegations. Let me tell you, Vinesh Phogat said, “WFI president is involved in sexual harassment with women players and coaches. I am saying this now, but I do not know whether I will be alive tomorrow or not. Some women wrestlers sitting here also molested We are not fighting for ourselves. We are fighting to save wrestling. He interferes in our personal life and wants to know who is our boyfriend or girlfriend. He asks us about our marriage and other personal Keeps asking about things.”
On the other hand, Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, president of the wrestling association, said, “The biggest allegation has been made by Vinesh. Is there anyone in front who can say that the federation has ever exploited any player. There should be someone in front who can say that yes Brijbhushan Has sexually abused a player. I want to ask that if there was so much problem with the Federation, then why did not they say anything for the last 10 years. They have a problem when the Federation makes rules. If they prove that sexual abuse If I have done it, I will hang myself.”
