In the midst of a worldwide recession, many IT companies and startups are continuously laying off their employees for cost cutting. At the same time, in the meantime, the hiring of new employees is going on in the veteran food delivery company Zomato. Online food delivery company Zomato Limited has announced 800 Job Vacancies in different positions. The company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Deepinder Goyal has given this information in a LinkedIn post. Deepinder Goyal said that applications for roles ranging from Growth Manager, Product Owner, Chief of Staff to CEO, Generalist and Software Development Engineer are open.
Earlier, the Gurugram-based company decided to lay off about 3% of its workforce or 100 employees as part of its annual review process. Under this new vacancy, the company plans to appoint CEOs of ‘Eternal’ brands like Zomato, Blinkit and Hyperpure.
The company has taken this decision at a time when many startups in India are reducing their workforce under the restructuring strategy to become profitable.
